What will be done, and what will not, is written down before anything is ordered. That is what keeps a project from drifting and keeps the final invoice matching the quotation.

What I do
Every engagement states what is included and what is not, before the work starts.
Routing, switching and wireless for offices that have outgrown a consumer router — designed, installed, configured and documented.
File, application and virtualisation servers with storage that is actually recoverable — specified, built, tested and documented.
Closing the things an attacker looks for first — exposed management, default credentials, flat networks — and proving they stay closed.
Day-to-day support for small offices, and the automation that stops the same request arriving every week.
Completed work
Real installations — the problem, what was built, and what changed.
Rebuilding a customs-clearing office network
Intermittent whole-office outages that cleared on their own, with no way to tell which device caused them.
A managed network and rack for a private residence
Wireless that dropped between floors, a camera recorder sharing the same flat network as everything else, and equipment stacked on a shelf.
A server and recoverable storage for a 13-seat workgroup office
Files scattered across individual workstations, no shared storage anyone trusted, and backups that had never been restored from.
How the work runs
Every installation is handed over with the documents that let someone else pick it up.
Default passwords, exposed management services and ports left open are closed at install time. A hardening pass bolted on later always misses something.
Topology, addressing plan, equipment inventory and recovery steps are delivered as documents. The next engineer has to be able to take it over.
Want to talk through a job?
A new office, an existing network that needs rethinking, or not knowing where to start — a conversation is the right first step.
